Creating tasks from Estimates

You can create tasks directly from line items in your estimate. Any line item with a rate that has the ‘time tracking’  option selected can be converted into a task. There are two ways these tasks can be generated:

    1. Action Menu
    2. Approving the estimate

Action Menu
Using the action menu, select the ‘Create Tasks’ icon. Briefcase will then navigate you to the related jobs tasks tab, creating all tasks for you.

Approving the Estimate
Upon changing the status of an Estimate to ‘Approved’ you will be prompted to create tasks. There is also an option that will allow you to auto assign task resources, This will check the job to see which resources have been allocated, if the resource has access to the rate, it will then choose the relevant resource for the task. Upon pressing Done, Briefcase will then navigate you to the related jobs tasks tab, creating all tasks for you.
