In order to add rates in Briefcase you'll need to navigate to the 'Rates Matrix' tab within 'Settings' and press the 'New Rate' button.
Clicking on an existing rate or creating a new rate will bring up a pop-up to allow you to create/edit the rate. You can delete existing rates by pressing the 'Delete' text at the bottom of the pop-up, alternatively to duplicate an existing rate press the 'Duplicate' button. Once you have finished your changes press the blue 'Done' button.
|Name||Enter in the name for the rate you are setting up. Keep in mind that this is an internal reference to the name only.|
|Track Time||This checkbox defines whether time can be tracked - If this is left unchecked no time entries or tasks will be set against this rate.|
|Category||This dropdown will display existing categories or if you select 'Other' will allow you to add in a new category. Categories in the dropdown only appear if there are other rates with that category assigned.|
|This checkbox defines how the rate can be used in Briefcase. If selected you will be able to use this rates in Estimates and Invoices. You will also then have the following options available to you:
